Wall Thickness and End Preparation
A correct inquiry must identify the mating pipe wall thickness. The same nominal diameter can use different schedules, and the elbow end must be compatible with the pipe and welding procedure. Common selections include SCH 10S/40S/80S for stainless steel and SCH 20/STD/40/XS/80/120/160/XXS for carbon or alloy steel, subject to dimensional availability.
- Butt weld ends: plain or beveled according to the specified welding-end standard and wall thickness.
